Classes start from age 3 with Pre-Primary Tap & they work their way up through the grades. Jenny teaches the ISTD tap syllabus at the academy & the children can also be entered into exams. All the students have passed with a merit or distinction.
Tap has evolved as an American dance form, popularised throughout the world, with debate about its origins coming from African dance, Irish dance and/or clog dancing. The dancers wear tap shoes & use their feet to strike the floor , beating out different rhythms. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals.
