Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the frequently asked questions. If a student or parent reaches out to contact the team directly to ask a question that might be useful information to others, we try to keep this page updated.

We know that some of our students and parents don’t want to burden the JC Dance Academy team with questions. Our team are always happy to help and encourage you to reach out if you need any information or clarification. However, if for some reason you don’t want to reach out, hopefully the answers are below, in our ever growing frequently asked questions page.

What are the term dates?

The Term dates are available on the Term Dates Page of our website along with some other useful information.

Can i try before i buy?

Yes absolutely! We don’t offer free taster classes but you can pay for individual classes as follows:

It doesn’t really apply to Adult classes, which are all pay as you go, so you only need to pay for each class that you attend.

Child classes are paid by the term in advance. To ensure the class is right for your child, we allow you to pay for the first class. Then if you/your child likes it, you pay for the rest of the term when you return.

Does my child need a uniform?

Of a sort!

Your child will need the appropriate apparel for the class, e.g. tap classes require tap shoes, ballet classes will require the ballet outfit. This is not only to ensure that they are able to learn with the correct apparel and equipment, but it’s also to support the relationship with classmates, being “uniform” and a team in this environment.

In addition to this we ask that you invest in a JC Dance Banded Onesie personalised with your child’s name on it. This is to instil that they are part of a group and a team. Also to make life much easier for quick change before classes and if they appear at the annual show.
