Ballerina Bear

Ballerina Bear classes are designed for budding dancers age 2-4, so, classes are split into 2 age brackets; age 2-3 & age 3-4. The Ballerina’s  love the class and it is lovely to see them engage with Ballerina Bear & the other children in the class & watch their confidence grow week after week.

New parents can wait in the room next door where there is a CCTV system set up so they can see their child dancing. Jenny believes that having just the Ballerina’s in the studio is a very important part of building their independence as a dancer. If a child is unsure for a few weeks initially then Jenny will allow one parent in the room during this time while they settle, this is instructed by Jenny as she will know what is best for your child. Jenny does understand that all 2 year old’s are different, she has over 15 years experience of teaching children so she will be able to advise what is best for your child if they are not settling in the class.

The class is designed to teach them their first basic ballet steps along with discipline whilst having fun. The Ballerina’s will spin and twirl with Ballerina Bear while she shares her adventures & stories with the children along with action songs & music. The Ballerina’s will start to learn about poise & posture & the class will improve their co-ordiantion skills at an early age.

Progression

They are rewarded each week with a sticker on their reward chart, we do a different colour chart each half term, they take the chart home once they have filled it in.

Once your child turns 4, Jenny will decide when they are ready to move up to Pre Primary Ballet. In this class they will follow ISTD Cecchetti syllabus which will lead towards taking an exam.

These Ballerina Bear classes are busy classes, therefore, if you would like to add your child’s name to the waiting list for when they turn 2 then it is highly advised so your child doesn’t miss out.

The age 3-4 Ballerina Bear class are invited to dance in the annual show which is held at the Parr Hall in Warrington.
